NeeDoh Scalpers Charge Parents $150+ for Squishies
A $7 toy shouldn't cost $150 — but that's exactly the kind of markup driving a growing backlash among parents caught up in the craze for NeeDoh squishies and other trending toys.
A $7 toy shouldn't cost $150. What began as a simple search for a stocking-stuffer has, for many families, become a nightly battle against scalpers who treat children's toys like a commodities market.
At the center of the pushback is Roxana Rossi, founder of the fast-growing NeeDoh Restock Facebook group — a community built to help moms track down hard-to-find toys for their kids at fair prices. Rossi says her mission became personal after the rare Cloud Pleaser NeeDoh was released. Curious whether anyone in her group had managed to snag one, she asked around, only to be offered the $7 toy for a staggering $150.
In that moment, Rossi realized that scalpers had quietly infiltrated the very group she'd created to protect ordinary parents. She quickly posted that no price gouging would be tolerated in the community.
A Response That Was Immediate — and Divided
The reaction split down the middle. A wave of grateful comments poured in from moms who'd been priced out of the market. But the post also drew hostility from resellers, including one man, who fired back with a crude, expletive-filled comment telling Rossi and her group to get lost.
The underlying problem is one many parents know too well: adults are buying up entire stocks of NeeDohs and trending squishies, then flipping them on eBay, Whatnot, and in Facebook groups at eye-watering markups, leaving kids and budget-conscious families empty-handed.
Roxana is also known for purchasing rare above retail Needohs to give away weekly on her Telegram channel.

The Markup, By the Numbers
A Community Beating the Scalpers
Despite the scalpers, Rossi's group has exploded in popularity in a remarkably short time — something she credits to a dedicated behind-the-scenes team hunting down the hottest restocks around the clock.
For many members, it's working. The group's feed is full of parents reporting wins that would have been unthinkable at scalper prices:
Lorie (★★★★★) celebrated scoring the sought-after NeeDoh Super Fuzzball during a launch, while Alex T. (★★★★★) added, "I never had luck... Not until I used your tips and Amazon links was I able to purchase NeeDohs!"
How to Join the Hunt
Rossi's free group is open to anyone looking to join the hunt — and beat the scalpers at their own game.
